The Department was established in the year 1982 with sanctioned in take of 60 students. During the year 2012, the intake was increased to 120 with 60 seats under Self finance Scheme. Now, the total first year takes 120 with lateral intake of 24 students. The department possesses excellent faculty as well as facilities to train the students for the industrial requirement in various fields of Mechanical Engineering.

The Department has the state of art facilities in core laboratories like Automobile Engineering, CAD/CAM, CNC Lathe, Workshop, and Refrigeration & Air-conditioning. In addition, the students are given practical training in production center during the course of their academic programme.

Our aim is to develop an excellent Academic Centre through Effective Teaching Methods and Modern Practical Applications to Produce Skilled Engineers.
